Ø Quality tail lights are kept intact within a reflective glass enclosure or plastic coated sheet to increase its illumination for enhance visibility for the driver coming from behind.
Ø The back lights must always be checked after specific periods to ensure proper functioning and eliminating any chance of poor visibility.
Ø The tail lights must be checked by expert professionals to ascertain that the cable connecting the lights with the battery backup is not flawed and well connected. This not only helps to stop unnecessary blinking of lights, but also save battery and decrease in durability of back lights.
Ø These lights must be kept dim as after reflecting with reflective glass or plastic coating they enhance illumination. So one should not use flashy back lights as they may affect the visibility of driver approaching from behind by reflecting to blur the vision. This is a common reason of road mishaps and collisions.
No doubt tail lights are an imperative part of car accessories and ensure safe driving. But it should be made a point that in day light, highways, or in parking one must not keep the back lights blinking also as per traffic rules it is not permitted.
